    I thought that was a malt liquor, not that I could explain the difference. In any event, I'm glad you were able to enjoy it.

    i'm pretty sure its just a good ol' fashioned lager, but i could be wrong as
    well.either way it was quite delicious i have to say...

    p.s. i looked into it... turns out up until 2008 it was a malt liquor... it was a beer until something like the 60's then was sold, then the recipe turned to piss water, then in 2008 they revamped it... now its a delicious delicious lager beer.

    mY GRANDFATHER DRANK THIS BEER, BACK IN THE 50'S. I GREW UP ON IT. THE ONLY PLACE I FOUND IT WAS AT BINNY'S IN NAPERVILLE,IL. I AM GLAD TO SEE IT LOCALLY SERVED.

    Bible and beer would be great . . . but MacLaren and beer? That could be a bad combination.

    Schlitz was the number one brewery in the world for many years. It actually invented the commonly used "brown bottle" today. Its advertising schemes back in the day could give Miller and Budweiser a run for the money - they were clever and Schlitz was everywhere. Check out their website for some history and more..
